*communicating home to school
Objective:
Figure out to communicate to the parents about how their children are doing in school.
My group and I were able to interview the end-user Isaac Mahan about his parents and the information they want to receive from school. I asked questions such as:
- "What would your parents want to know about how you are doing in school?"
- And "Why?" to follow up.
We found out that he would like to do well this school year and believes that his parents would like to know about how he is doing. He states that they would be interested in his grades and behaviors because they would like it if Isaac got into Stanford later on.
Our group later combined ideas of having an app where students and parents can check the student's grades, behavior, progress, and a place to check all emails from the D.Tech school. In this email option, on the app, you can also send and receive private emails that could be about the student and their progress.
